Ancient Greeks offered everlasting wreaths to the gods, while its resilient, radiant floralcy became legendarty. Myth has it that Trojan Prince Paris declared his love for beautiful Helen, the Queen of Sparta, by referencing the immortelle: “Do you not see this flower? Your hair shares the same golden colour, your body resembles its stem, and your skin is as soft as its petals. Your beauty will be equally everlasting.”
