This is a story from times gone by, about the secret meeting of two lovers. It shows the contradictions between sense and sensibility, prudery and passion. The lovers are driven by desire, but their education holds them back.
The Lover's Tale is rich in natural ingredients: a beautiful Egyptian jasmine with a slightly narcotic accord, combined with leather. In the base, some castoreum is used in a sophisticated way adding animalistic facets.
The opening captures the shy but sparkling mood of the moment they meet, with bergamot, honey and a touch of aldehydes. A faint scent of pollen evokes the nights of early spring, when the peach trees blossom and release their fragrance into the fresh air. Then the lovers are captured by attraction and romance, a tension represented by a narcotic jasmine softened with a powdery rose. Finally, passion takes over, with a sophisticated leather developing over an intense amber accord in the background.
bergamot, honey, mimosa, Egyptian jasmin, Bulgarian rose, peach, iris butter, heliotrope, leather, castoreum, labdanum, sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss
