Francesca worked so much on the balance of so many ingredients that she actually forgot where it all started: in Marrakesh, one of her favourite cities. She would always be coming back with plenty of fake oils, scented stones, resins to burn, carpets, swords, and other useless but crucial objects. Once, she came back with many smelly bottles, among which a deliciously fake oud oil. She had never been a fan of it (too trendy) but this one was different. Once home, she tried to make her own base inspired by this Moroccan fake oud, thus creating a sticky sweet woody smoky oil, which she called ‘My Oud".
When working on the Dark Side project (at the time named ‘Into Darkness’) she integrated this base of "My Oud" in it. After having created endless variations during the following months in search of the perfect harmony, she simply forgot that the soul of ‘My Oud’ was in it.
Only a frag lover’s review, wondering about the possibility of the presence of Oud, which was not enlisted in the pyramid, made her remember about her lovely fragrant memory from Marrakesh. If you really want to keep a secret, you just have to forget about it, like Francesca did with her "My Oud" base.
