The peaceful echo of an imaginary wood, a prelude to a fragrant tale of magic and a deep forest.
Unique Ingredient: CEDRAMBER ™
Discovered in 1966, Cedramber ™ is made from Cedrol, a sesquiterpene alcohol found in the essential oil of conifers (cedar oil). Cedar definitely deserves the title of one of the first natural odorants used by man for aromatization and perfume creation. In ancient Egyptian mythology (from about 6 thousand years ago) cedar was a symbol of Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld, and its smell was closely associated with everything holy and godlike. Cedramber ™ gives a great ambergris-like exalting effect but adds a lot of woody aspects with its dry, cedar and woody tone. In its composition the cedarwood note clearly dominates, it is a cool even steely wood note, with all the harsh, “pencil shavings” smell removed. Cedramber ™ is between amber and patchouli. Cedramber ™ has both fixative and diffusive effects. Cedramber ™ is used in men’s fragrances for woody and ambery accords, and in women's fragrances for some floral notes.
